BIODAM is indicated as a gingival protector in cases of use of products that pose a risk of irritation (for example, bleaching based on hydrogen peroxide for in-office use), preventing contact between the irritating agent and the gingival tissue. BIODAM is an insulating and protective material, when light cured it forms a mechanical barrier of rigid consistency that can replace or complement the rubber sheet for gingival protection, or even improve the sealing of the isolation of a cavity preparation or endodontic treatment.
